His temperament was outstanding-he was my best buddy and soul mate. Unlike many Chesapeakes, he preferred to do things my way to please me than to follow his own agenda. He is a Group One winner in a 700 + sporting dog entry/multiple group placer and a specialty show BOB. He was BOB in a 100 dog ACC supported entry. He is the #2 sire in the breed ALL TIME producing outstanding offspring. His offspring are field trial ***/** award winners, CH/MH, MH & SH & JH titled, BIS & ACC BISS winners and multiple group winners and placers.

“Keen” is a stunningly beautiful solid deadgrass bitch (22.5” 68 lbs.) and was BOB at the American Chesapeake Supported show Detroit KC March 2007. She is built to the standard with sloping shoulders, short loin, well-bent stifle, coat and balance. She moves as well as she stands. A very athletic dog with intensity for retrieving and energy to do a day’s work in the field, she is highly trainable so easy to work and just as nice-easy to live with. Her sire is a Ch/MH who lacks but an all-breed win for Dual; her dam was a gorgeous deadgrass bitch with lots of birdiness. Keen comes from a litter of outstanding dogs-Ch* Pond Hollow Cuttyhunk, Ch Pond Hollow Margarita Rocks CD JH, Ch Pond Hollow Mozambique JH, Ch Pond Hollow Wake Up Lil Suzie JH, Pond Hollow Gunpowder Shores SH ** (with MH legs), Pond Hollow Frosted Mist JH, Pond Hollow Burning Desire CD (Dog World award) and Pond Hollow Ripken’s Streak-ptd. Pups from her first litter have already made their mark-one is a Ch and Best Puppy in Sweepstakes ACC 07 National show; four others have conformation pts.; 3 are working gun dogs and doing therapy work.

This is a special breeding from frozen semen. There are 6 to 8 pups expected.

Brown and deadgrass colors.  Bogey was an outstanding sire with tons of natural working ability. His background is legendary conformation champions, field trial award winners and excellent hunting dogs. His granddam Ch* Bayberry Pond Lady CDX JH TD WD was a very talented bitch with desire and courage in the field. Keen is a reflection two generations forward of Bogey-great personality, excels in conformation and loves to retrieve. Her sire lacked an all-breed win to be a Dual Champion while his sire was a DC/AFC titled dog.

 Puppies from this breeding will have the ability to compete wherever one pleases-in the hunt blind, at hunt tests, at shows or agility/obedience. As companions, they should be devoted and loving dogs that are outgoing and stable.
